Selina Johnson 20 from London.

Currently in my 2nd year studying Fashion Marketing at Falmouth University.

My course so far has allowed me to cover strategic marketing communications, buying, retail, visual merchandising, events management and creative design.

The university has allowed me to collaborate with other students to build my own projects on the side. I'm currently creating a jewellery line and have plans to launch a new feature magazine in falmouth with Fashion Society Committee members.

I have done work experience at Steilmann Fashion and Merchandising House, Great Portland Street London. Helped in sales and display at the NEC Birmingham trade show fair. This gave me insight into the organisation of retail and the social interactions between buyer/client relationships.

I have also worked for Sworders Art Auction House. I helped assist sales and got involved with organising show viewing days.

I attended Chelmsford crown court with defence barristers at a murder trial, observing, taking notes and attending conferences. This was a different environment to which I'm used to working in but I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and its expanded my knowledge of the court and legal aid.

Since starting Falmouth (a small seaside town) I have taken up new interests such as surfing, swimming,yoga, spiritual meditation and sailing. I recently completed my SSRL beach lifeguard training.

I'm keen to trying new experiences and would hopefully like to work and get connected across the globe. I recently did a solo trip travelling America and met contacts from all over. This has inspired me to work in the fashion capitals, Paris, Milan, New York, Berlin etc. I have just been accept to study erasmus graphic design at NABA university in Milan for 3 months next semester.
